Quit Smoking

Quitting smoking is a good idea no matter what your age or how long you have been smoking. People who quit smoking at any age reduce their risk of tobacco-related diseases and prolong their lives. NYC Health + Hospitals offers caring treatment and support every step of the way to help you quit the smoking habit.

More than two-thirds of smokers say they want to quit, and every year, more than half try. However, without assistance, fewer than 10 percent succeed. If you are interested in quitting smoking—for good—we’ll help you achieve a healthy, smoking-free lifestyle.

How We Care For You

NYC Health + Hospitals understands that everyone requires a personalized plan to stop smoking. Our smoking cessation programs provide comprehensive and affordable treatment choices for tens of thousands of New Yorkers who use tobacco. We work with you to find effective treatment, including providing nicotine replacement therapy (NRT), counseling services, and other available resources.
