Dr. Marie M. Alzi-Greene joined the NYC Health + Hospitals/Gotham Health, Belvis team 10 years ago, and has excelled. She has launched innovations to improve eye care for her patients, and procedures to coordinate her discipline within the Belvis structure.

Fluent in four languages, Dr. Alzi-Greene is a model of care. Her colleagues praise her compassion and dedication for her work with pediatric to geriatric patients. She has developed a template to improve eye-care scheduling for school-age children visiting Belvis. Dr. Alzi-Greene has participated in outreach programs for eye care in Mexico, Nicaragua, and Haiti.

She is a graduate of the SUNY/College of Optometry, New York, where she participated in a glaucoma research project. Dr. Alzi-Greene did post-graduate work at The Eye Institute/Pennsylvania College of Optometry, where she also was a clinical instructor, and was in an externship program at St. Albans Veterans Administration Medical Center, St. Albans, N.Y. She also worked at NYC Health + Hospitals/Gotham Health, East New York. She is a member of the American Academy of Optometry and the American Optometric Association.
