Dr. Liana Leung has been Associate Director, Department of Ambulatory Care, New York Health + Hospitals/Queens, since 2013. She also is its Associate Director, Internal Medicine Program. She also had been Medical Director of the New York Hospital Queens Ambulatory Care Center.

Dr. Leung speaks three languages, an invaluable tool in the city’s most diverse borough, where colleagues and supervisors praise her dedication to patient care. The scholarly physician oversaw the implementation of the Patient Centered Medical Home model. She collaborates with senior hospital leadership to offer the highest quality for ambulatory care patients. Under her leadership, clinic operations and continuity of patient care are constantly improving. Dr. Leung is “an energetic and enthusiastic clinician and administrator,” say her supervisors.

Dr. Leung completed her medical training at Cornell University, and her residency training at New York Presbyterian Hospital and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. She also holds a Master’s Degree in Public Health from Columbia University. Dr. Leung is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She is a member of the Alliance for Academic Internal Medicine, the Association for Program Directors in Internal Medicine, the Association of Chinese American Physicians, and the Chinese American Medical Society.
