Ana E. Marengo is Senior Vice President of Communications and Marketing and an Officer of the Board at NYC Health + Hospitals. In this role, Ms. Marengo serves as a senior advisor to the NYC Health + Hospitals President and health system leadership staff, directs internal and external communications efforts, including news media relations; marketing and advertising; website management; social media platforms; and employee communications. Ms. Marengo is responsible for the development and execution of communications strategies to promote NYC Health + Hospitals’ leadership role in local and national media, and serves as health system spokesperson and crisis communications director. Ms. Marengo’s accomplishments at NYC Health + Hospitals include the execution of the health system’s recent rebranding campaign that for the first time in the organization’s history aligned more than 70+ patient care facilities under one logo and brand message. She also directed the website redesign; launched a monthly electronic newsletter; and executed a number of high-impact, low-cost, multi-language health awareness and advertising campaigns. Ms. Marengo has more than twenty-five years of experience as a communications executive and press manager. Before joining the public health care system she served as Vice President of Media Relations at the American Cancer Society- Eastern Division, Media Relations Manager for the United Federation of Teachers, Assistant Press Secretary to Mayor David N. Dinkins, and Public Information Officer for the New York City Council. Ms. Marengo attended Rutgers University where she was awarded a Bachelor of Arts in Communications.
