Robert K. Hughes is CEO of NYC Health + Hospitals/Coler (formerly the Coler-Goldwater Specialty Hospital and Nursing Facility).

Mr. Hughes began his employment at Goldwater in 1982 as a hospital-care investigator in patient accounts. He was appointed associate executive director after assuming administrative roles. In 1997, he left Coler-Goldwater for a leadership position at a large non-public nursing facility. In 2003, Mr. Hughes returned to Coler-Goldwater as deputy executive director and chief operating officer. He was named executive director in 2009.

Mr. Hughes was reared on Long Island and earned a criminal justice degree from St. John’s University in Queens, NY. He received his law degree from Touro College, Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center in 1988.
