Susan Sales, M.P.A, FACHE, LNHA has been appointed CEO of Gouverneur Skilled Nursing Facility. Susan has served as Associate Executive Director since February 2016 and has been responsible for administering the operations and activities of the 255 bed nursing home. She successfully managed a $28 million operating budget and oversaw a successful accreditation survey by the Joint Commission. Under her leadership, the nursing facility returned over 300 patients to the community following rehabilitation. Susan has more than twenty five years of experience working in healthcare in the Greater New York Area including positions at Montefiore Health System/Schaffer Extended Care Center, Sound Shore Medical Center of Westchester, Lutheran Medical Center, and The New York Hospital/Cornell Medical Center. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Villanova University and a Master’s Degree in Health Policy and Management from New York University.

Susan is active in a number of community activities including: guest lecturer at Iona College and College of New Rochelle, and President of the Pelham Children’s Center Board in Pelham, NY. In 2015 she was awarded the Eli Pick Facility Leadership Award by the American College of Health Care Administrators and is a Fellow with the American College of Healthcare Executives. Susan reports to the Post Acute Care Service Line senior leadership.
