Ms. Villanueva was promoted to Vice President for Human Resources in March 2017. She is responsible for the day-to-day processes of the health system’s Human Resources operations.

Ms. Villanueva served as Senior Assistant Vice President of Human Resources since December 2015. During that time, she partnered with senior management to transition Human Resources to a shared services model, introduced workforce planning initiatives, established the Human Resources governance structure, and expanded employee self-service capacity. Her accomplishments included revision of the facility Language Assistance policy, initiating the LEP Direct Communicators Attestation program, and integration of the Patient Relations and Medical Interpreter program.

Previously, Ms. Villanueva served as Senior Associate Executive Director at NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln and NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem, and before that, at NYC Health + Hospitals/Woodhull. Ms. Villanueva has a master’s degree in Personnel Psychology from New York University and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Hunter College.
