The protection of your health information and maintaining confidentiality are very important to us. NYC Health + Hospitals’ Corporate HIPAA Privacy and Security Officer (CPSO) within the Office of Corporate Compliance (OCC), Ms. Catherine Patsos, also Chief Corporate Compliance Officer, is responsible for ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of patient information, and compliance with the privacy and security requirements under Federal and State law including the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).

Questions, Concerns or Complaints
If you have a privacy related question, concern, complaint, or other privacy-related matter that you would like to bring to the attention of the CPSO, please do not hesitate to contact the OCC. Reports may be made in the following manner:
You may also ask a member of the NYC Health + Hospitals workforce to submit a verbal complaint on your behalf to the Patient/Guest Relations Department at the facility where you have sought treatment.
NYC Health + Hospitals strictly prohibits intimidation, harassment, or retaliation, in any form against any individual who in good faith participates in the Corporate Compliance and Ethics Program by reporting or participating in the investigation of suspected violations of law, regulation, or policies.
