Acute Inpatient – Our hospital-based programs includes psychiatric, medical, nursing, and social services for those who cannot be adequately served in the community.
Specialized Acute Inpatients –
Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program (CPEP) – Extended observation for children, adolescents, and adults who need emergency mental health services. Hospitals that offer CPEP services are:
Bellevue is the only CPEP dedicated to children and adolescents in New York City.
Psychiatric Emergency Services – Emergency teams offer specialized care for the evaluation and treatment of psychiatric crises, including suicidal or aggressive behavior in children and adults. Psychiatric emergency rooms are located at:
Outpatient Clinics – Our Outpatient Mental Health programs for adults, adolescents, and children provide an array of treatment services including individual and group therapies.
Integrated Behavioral Health in Primary Care – Collaborative Care treats commonly occurring mental health conditions such as depression and anxiety in the primary care setting.
On-Track – An innovative treatment program for adolescents and young adults who have had unusual thoughts and behaviors, or who have started hearing things that others don’t. This program is offered at Bellevue, Elmhurst, and Kings County.
Program for Survivors of Torture at Bellevue – Assists individuals and families who are survivors of torture and human rights abuses. The program provides culturally sensitive medical, mental health, social, and legal services.
Assertive Community Treatment – Support services for people that have been diagnosed with serious mental illness (SMI). Services are provided by a mobile, multi-disciplinary team in community settings.
Partial Hospitalization Programs – Short-term treatment for adults or adolescents designed to stabilize acute symptoms. PHP services are offered at Bellevue, Elmhurst, Kings County, North Central Bronx, and Queens.
Mobile Crisis Teams – Short-term mental health services for people who are unable or unwilling to access care in the community.
