Kathleen Blaney, MPH, RN

NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene Clinical Director of Trace

Kathleen Blaney has been with the NYC Test & Trace Corps since May 2020, where she has served as deputy director and acting director of the Trace program and is currently its clinical director. She is also the director of Disease Control Emergency Preparedness at the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH). Previously, Kathleen was branch director of the Healthcare System Support team of the DOHMH COVID Response, infection prevention lead in the Bureau of Immunization during the measles outbreak, and outreach coordinator for the Citywide Immunization Registry. Prior to joining DOHMH, Kathleen worked as a nurse at the AIDS Resource Center of Wisconsin and as a clinical research assistant at Rhode Island Hospital. Kathleen studied nursing and political science at Marquette University and received a Master of Public Health degree from Brown University.
