Michelle Lewis
Chief Executive Officer

Ms. Lewis, as a transformation leader, provides direction and coordination for a broad range of initiatives to advance Gotham’s vision and organizational success. Through her leadership and vision Ms. Lewis is making significant contributions to Gotham health’s strategic direction by driving change across the network. These changes aimed at improving our patient experience and increasing their access to care on a timely basis.

Ms. Lewis is an accomplished healthcare administrator, who is recognized for her visionary leadership. She has over 20 years of experience in leading people, building teams, project management, and expanding healthcare programs.

Prior to joining NYC Health + Hospitals, Ms. Lewis worked for New York Presbyterian Health Systems, where she held various position, including overseeing the Emergency Services Department and the Community – Based Ambulatory Care Health Centers. Her strong interest in delivering high quality of health care services and the overall wellbeing of medically underserved communities is reflected in her achievements during her career as a public health executive.

Ms. Lewis received her Bachelor of Art Degree from Lehman College in New York.

She earned a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Farleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey. She is presently an adjunct professor at Fairleigh Dickinson University in the Departments of Master in Public Administration and Master in Public Health.

Raksha Tripathi
Chief Financial Officer

Raksha Tripathi brings more than twelve years of experience in healthcare, including senior-level positions in multi-site Federally Qualified Health Centers to her role as Gotham Health’s Chief Financial Officer. Her key areas of expertise include strategic planning, quality improvement, financial planning, contract management and budget.

Most recently, Raksha worked as the Chief Financial Officer at Greater Philadelphia Health Action (GPHA), where she provided the Board of Directors and senior leadership with guidance in developing strategies, goals, plans and policies that enabled them to make progress towards accomplishing the organization’s short/long term financial objectives and mission.

Prior to working at GPHA, Raksha worked as the Chief Financial Officer at Southside United Health where she played a pivotal role in their expansion. Southside United Health attained significant financial improvement through successful revenue enhancement and cost reduction initiatives during her tenure. Raksha also worked at Lone Star Circle of Health and has been a Director at Youfirst Healthcare Solutions.

Raksha received her Master of Healthcare Administration from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill and Master of Business Administration from the Indian Institute of Planning and Management.

Raksha plays a key role as a member Gotham Health’s Executive team to further improve care and services and to create a more patient-centered and efficient organization. She also collaborates with clinical teams to generate baselines for value-based reimbursement, including efforts to develop best practices for chart notes to optimize coding. These efforts are vital to increasing payer collection and enhancing fiscal sustainability for the enterprise.

Lawanda Curry
Chief Nursing Officer

Lawanda Curry joined Gotham Health in 2022 and brings more than two decades of diversified leadership and advanced clinical practice experience across payor, provider, and various clinical settings.

Ms. Curry served most recently in roles including Chief Nursing Officer at Penn Medicine of the University of Pennsylvania Health System and Vice President of Health Services for the one of the “Big Five” managed care organizations in the United States. Ms. Curry has significant experience both as a clinical leader and as an advanced practice provider in the Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) environment.

Ms. Curry is driven by an unrelenting pursuit to improve the quality of patients’ care, particularly the underserved and most at risk. She has a proven track record of outperforming clinical metrics, patient satisfaction, as well as a demonstrated commitment to supporting and advocating for associates.

Ms. Curry, a Native New Yorker, is a board-certified Adult Nurse Practitioner, with advanced degrees in Nursing Practice, Management, and Health Administration and is a six-sigma lean black belt. Prior to attending university, Ms. Curry served in the United States Marine Corps.
