Senior Simulation Specialist at NYC Health + Hospitals/Simulation Center

Juan R. Cruz is the Senior Simulation Specialist NYC Health + Hospitals Simulation Center with responsibility for course delivery as a lead instructor. He is also responsible for training and developing simulation technicians and specialists.

Prior to joining the team at NYC Health + Hospitals Simulation Center, Juan worked as a regional coordinator for the training center at the Barnabas Healthcare Systems. For nine years and has been a practicing paramedic since 1999. Juan also volunteers his time for international medical missions where he offers medical and logistical support, as well as teaches basic and advanced life support, teamwork and communication concepts to help developing medical communities expand their competencies and capabilities.
