The Emergency Medicine Residency at Coney Island is an ACGME- accredited four-year program that trains residents to provide exceptional acute care to the community of Southern Brooklyn. Residents train primarily at Coney Island Hospital, a 371-bed community hospital with a diverse patient population, wide spectrum of pathology, and close-knit residency family. Our program is closely affiliated with multiple sites across New York City including King’s County Hospital (Level 1 Trauma Center), Harlem Hospital (Level 1 Trauma Center), Jacobi Medical Center (Level 1 Trauma Center), and New York Poison Control Center. It is the goal of this program to create a physician who is a patient advocate and a physician who wants to drive continuous changes in the practice of Emergency Medicine for the betterment of all they serve.
