The staff of the Pulmonary Division includes four pulmonary specialists, four pulmonary fellows, a pulmonary nurse clinician, and a pulmonary function technologist.
The clinic cares for patients with a variety of illnesses such as pneumonia, bronchial asthma, emphysema, chronic bronchitis, bronchiectasis (infections of the respiratory tract), lung cancer, interstitial lung disease, pleural diseases, tuberculosis, pulmonary hypertension, and AIDS related pulmonary disorders.
The procedures provided at the clinic include:
Spirometry, which measures lung function ABG analysis, and blood gas measurement oxygen saturation measurements, which gauge the amount of oxygen carried by the blood
Our nurse clinician provides patient education pertaining to correct techniques for inhaler and nebulizer use. We also provide vaccination for prevention of respiratory infection and skin testing for detection of tuberculosis infection.
If necessary, we can refer patients for bronchoscopy and sleep studies.
