Occupational Therapy

Occupational Therapy (O.T.) helps restore independence to people who have physical, cognitive and developmental disabilities. Occupational therapists take a holistic approach to therapy by treating the person physically and mentally, not just the disability.

In our Occupational Therapy Department we provide evaluation and therapy to people of all ages, from pediatric to geriatric. Occupational therapy treatment may include the following:

  • Activities of daily living training
  • Assistive device training
  • Hand therapy
  • Splinting
  • Range of motion
  • Strengthening
  • Pain Management
  • Scar management
  • Lymphedema treatment for swollen limbs caused by fluid retention
  • Neurological rehabilitation
  • Energy conservation
  • Joint protection
  • Fall prevention
