A mammogram screening, or X-ray of the breast and surrounding tissues, can effectively detect cancers long before you might feel a change during your monthly breast self-exam. Mammography can detect breast changes that could signify very early breast cancer.
Although an annual mammography offers your best chance for early detection of breast cancer, no test provides 100% accuracy. Therefore it’s vital for you to maintain a schedule of yearly mammograms and perform monthly breast self-exam (BSE) to check for changes.
Remember, the earlier you detect breast cancer, the better your chance of beating this insidious disease. Our state-of-the-art Diagnostic Center, located on the first floor of the hospital, provides a convenient pleasant atmosphere and quick and accurate results.
