The Physical Therapy Division strives to manage functional problems resulting from disease or trauma. Our highly trained and competent physical therapy team performs thorough evaluations and treatments, and develops measurable goals and treatment plans in accordance with their clinical findings.
Our physical therapy team provides services to both inpatients and outpatients of all ages, and we deal with various injuries, impairments, and diseases such as:
We use an extensive list of exercise equipment and treatment procedures together with a vast array of therapeutic techniques to improve flexibility, muscle strength, range of motion, joint stability, dexterity, balance, coordination, agility, facilitate normal movement patterns, and promote safety.
For example, we have a 3,500 square foot outdoor terrace called “New Hope Avenue” composed of nine different surfaces including tiles, cobblestone, cement, sand, and Astroturf used for outdoor safety and fall prevention training programs.
We also educate patients and family members about the safe and effective outdoor use of equipment such as canes, crutches and walkers, devices such as knee, back and hip supports, and artificial arms or legs to help patients adapt or function more independently at work or home.
