Walkway of Honor

NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst has been providing care of the highest quality to the Queens community for over 50 years. As one of the busiest medical facilities in New York City, NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst is on the front lines of providing medical care to people of all backgrounds, ethnicities, and income levels. With the financial support of the hospital’s Auxiliary, our aim is to enrich patient services and promote a healthy community. We invite you to join us as we embark on an Auxiliary fundraising effort: “Adopt a Brick” for our Walkway of Honor!

Some examples of current or future Auxiliary funded projects are:

• Funds to support the construction of the new Women’s Health Pavilion
• New state-of-the-art medical equipment
• Bassinets, blankets, and clothing for needy mothers of newborns
• Relaxation and meditation classes for Oncology patients
• Arts and crafts classes for patients in Rehab Medicine
• Holiday gifts and toys for children in Inpatient Pediatrics
• Painting classes for Senior Care Clinic patients

Please consider purchasing a memorial brick, which will be permanently installed as part of our Walkway of Honor. This walkway, adjacent to the north side of the hospital, is traversed by nurses, doctors, and other hospital staff every day in the course of providing quality patient care. Your brick will be a long-lasting tribute to a family member or friend and may be given as a unique gift for a special occasion. Individuals and businesses are invited to participate. The inscription on your brick may be a name, a quote, or a message, such as:

When you choose to invest in a brick for the Walkway of Honor, you become a partner in the Auxiliary’s ongoing mission to serve our patients. A 6 x 9-inch brick with a two-line inscription may be purchased for $150, and a 12 x 12 brick with a four-line inscription can be purchased for $500. To download an order form, please click here.
