At NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County, we provide quality health care for our behavioral health patients.
Our provider team consists of clinical psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, internists, nurses, social workers, addiction counselors, activity therapists and other clinical staff who provide care in a compassionate, safe and secure environment. We support the dignity of our clients and partner with them on their road to recovery. Education is offered to help clients and their caregivers come to a better understanding of mental illness and the resources available.
Services include psychopharmacology, individual psycho-therapy, psycho-education, group therapy, activity therapy, and family/significant other meetings. The following are some of the specialized services available.

NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County provides assessments, referrals, and connection to care for individuals with problems related to substance use.
Services are tailored to the needs of individual patients. Patients receive an assessment in our central intake unit with recommendations for an individualized treatment plan that may include:
Screening, Brief Counseling, and Recommendations for Care.
Medications to treat alcohol and opioid withdrawal.
