David Weinstein , MA, HSA, LNHA

A health care administrator by training, David Weinstein has served as the CEO of McKinney since February 2017. Prior to that, he held senior-level management positions in a variety of not-for-profit, mission-driven patient care facilities throughout New York State.

His career spans over 30 years, most notably as Chief Operating Officer at the Hebrew Home at Riverdale and Chief Executive Officer at Daughters of Sarah Senior Community in Albany, NY.

Mr. Weinstein’s accomplishments include developing and implementing board-driven strategic plans, such as repurposing existing real estate, new building reconstruction, centralizing support and clinical services, and the creation of innovative programs aimed at reducing costs, enhancing revenue, and improving quality care and life.

Most recently, he oversaw Post-Acute Care Services at the University of Vermont’s Champlain Valley Physician’s Hospital, developing a strategic plan to convert its 96-bed transitional care unit into a modern 54-bed post-acute facility.

Mr. Weinstein received a Bachelor of Arts degree from State University of New York at Binghamton and a Masters in Health Services Administration from the George Washington University in Washington, DC. He has held the position of Adjunct Professor at both Lehman College and the College of Mount Saint Vincent’s instructing students in the areas of long-term care administration and health care finance.
