The Pride Health Center at NYC Health + Hospitals/Woodhull is designed to focus on the health needs and disparities specific to the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer/questioning (LGBTQ) community. Our team is committed to addressing the physical and behavioral health needs of all our patients with dignity and respect.
Since 2014, Woodhull has been recognized annually as a “Leader in LGBTQ Healthcare Equality” by the Human Rights Campaign. Their annual Healthcare Equality Index recognizes organizations that have met broad criteria that actively engage in protecting LGBTQ patients and employees from discrimination, ensuring equal visitation for LGBTQ people, and providing staff training in LGBTQ patient-centered care.
