Urban Medicine Journal

Urban Medicine: The Journal of Quality Improvement in Healthcare & Patient Safety is a peer-reviewed journal that publishes original work that pursues the advancement of patient safety and quality improvement. The journal serves as a platform to share and exchange information on patient safety and quality initiatives so together we can achieve zero preventable harm.

NYC Health + Hospitals and NYC Health + Hospitals/Metropolitan have been at the forefront in implementing a culture of safety. NYC Health + Hospitals/Metropolitan in particular has significantly contributed to the research underlying many of these quality improvement changes. We are proud to highlight some of our accomplishments in improving quality and patient safety. We hope other institutions can benefit from our work and together we can create a better health care system.
