Volunteering at NYC Health + Hospitals/Metropolitan

Volunteers make a huge difference in the lives of our patients every day. It is our mission to recruit and train volunteers to enhance the delivery of exceptional services to our patients.

As a volunteer, you will be valued member of a qualified and diverse team that supports direct patient care, provides community outreach and education, and assists with a wide range of administrative and other non-medical hospital activities. Volunteering can also provide you with an introduction to the broad spectrum of healthcare professions and career opportunities.

Whether you are interested in working directly with patients or prefer to work behind-the-scenes, we will find the right position to fit your individual schedule, abilities and interests. We are always looking for entertainers and musicians!

We meet with all interested candidates to discuss interests and available opportunities. Some volunteer placements may require medical screening at our facility. All volunteers will participate in an orientation and receive any applicable training.
