The Department of Dental Medicine is committed to supporting the NYC Health + Hospitals/Queens mission to provide high quality health care services to all persons regardless of their ability to pay. The Department of Dental Medicine provides comprehensive dental care to children, adults and seniors for diseases and disorders of the mouth, jaws and teeth. The care is provided in a modern, state of the art treatment center with all of the equipment needed to deliver comprehensive general dental care in an efficient environment.
Our facility is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM and delivers care by appointment. Our emergency dentists (residents) respond to the Emergency Room for dental emergencies 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The demand for dental services is significant and we do our best to accommodate our patients, but sometimes, there may be a wait for comprehensive care appointments.
When you come for your first appointment, please bring two forms of identification, an active insurance card (if you have one) and a list of all your current medications. Please arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled visit so our staff can review your insurance, identification and payment plans with you.
The Dental Department at NYC Health + Hospitals/Queens is a post graduate training center for General Dentistry. We have six (6) residents on our staff who are graduate dentists receiving advanced training. Our very qualified residents deal with seventy percent of our patient visits.

Our beautiful facility is located in the hospital’s Pavilion and consists of ten (10) treatment rooms outfitted with the most advanced delivery system available. We utilize digital radiography and offer advanced training in rotary endodontics, implant replacement and restoration as well as all treatment modalities that have become an essential part of modern dental care.
