About NYC Health + Hospitals/Gotham Health, Roberto Clemente

Roberto Clemente Center (RCC) was established in 1982 as a community-based, family-oriented, mental health services center and training program to address the needs of underserved populations —especially Latino/a immigrants. Primary care services were integrated in 1998 in order to provide comprehensive care. RCC is also affiliated with NYU School of Medicine and receives over 20,000 health care visits annually.

Diversity and inclusion are important values for the NYC Health + Hospitals’ mission to provide quality care for all regardless of ethnicity, national origin, race, age, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, military/veteran status or any other status protected by law. All immigrants can get medical care and mental health services regardless of immigration status or ability to pay. We communicate with patients in their preferred language and are sensitive to cultural differences to provide care in a welcoming environment.
