Radiology Center

The Department of Radiology at NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln provides our patients with the most advanced imaging and treatment services available in a safe and convenient location. Lincoln’s radiology experts provide these high-quality imaging services and we perform more than 170,000 procedures yearly. Our team consists of board-certified radiologists, board-certified radiation oncologists, radiation therapists, technologists, medical physicist, nurses, physician assistants and support staff who are committed to providing you with safe and effective imaging services.

We offer comprehensive medical imaging services and imaging guided interventional procedures. Imaging modalities include digital radiography, ultrasound, mammography, nuclear medicine, bone densitometry, fluoroscopy, computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). 

Accreditation
The American College of Radiology (ACR) awarded Lincoln full three-year term of accreditation in:

– Computed Tomography
– Mammography
– Stereotactic Core Biopsy
– Breast Ultrasound/Breast Ultrasound guided Biopsy
– Nuclear Medicine
– Magnetic Resonance Imaging

The ACR accreditation is awarded only to facilities that have undergone rigorous evaluation of image quality, personnel qualifications, adequacy of facility equipment, and effectiveness of quality control procedures.

Interventional Radiology
The Division performs both diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including uterine fibroid embolization and chemoembolization.

Radiation Oncology
Our department includes the Radiation Oncology division which works closely with the Cancer Center to provide comprehensive cancer treatment to patients.  Radiation Oncology is accredited by the American College of Radiology.

Women’s Breast Imaging Center
Our Center is accredited by the American College of Radiology as a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence. We received this recognition only after achieving accreditation in mammography, stereotactic breast biopsy, breast MRI and breast ultrasound (including ultrasound-guided breast biopsy).

Trauma and Acute Stroke Care
Radiology is fully integrated with the trauma team and the acute stroke team. The department is mobilized immediately with every trauma or acute stroke activation. State of the art equipment and trained personnel are available for neurointerventional therapy for acute strokes.
