Since Lincoln Hospital opened its doors in 1839, it has worked to exceed our community’s highest expectation for compassionate, comprehensive healthcare. Our award-winning, 362-bed institution is a full service acute care hospital and a Level 1 Trauma Center. Annually we provide more than 550,000 outpatient visits and more than 144,000 Emergency Department visits. Lincoln is home to the busiest single-site emergency department in the northeast region. Lincoln Medical Center is an academic affiliate of Weill Medical College of Cornell University and has a clinical affiliation with the Physicians Affiliation Group of New York, P.C. As one of the most qualified, modern and technologically advanced hospitals in the country, many of our service programs are nationally recognized for outstanding clinical outcomes that meet or exceed established benchmarks.

It is our goal to provide our patients with the absolute best in healthcare delivery.  New programs and services are continually being developed with our patients and the community’s healthcare needs in mind. In 2015, the World Health Organization (WHO) designated Lincoln as the First Baby-Friendly Hospital in the Bronx. NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln also received a three year accreditation with commendation for the Cancer Center by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer and a three year full accreditation for the Breast Center by the American College of Surgeons National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers. Our Resources, Education, Self-Management, Prevention and Integration to Reduce Asthma Rates (RESPIRAR) Program is a screening tool that utilizes a holistic approach to reducing the incidence of asthma in both the adult and pediatric populations. One unique feature is that the RESPIRAR Program includes home visits.
